Putting chemicals in the water to turn the creatures into mutants by thetpenguin

Deck overview

This is a Golgari +1/+1 counters and Mutant sacrifice-value deck helmed by Jenova, Ancient Calamity. The core plan grows creatures with counters (via Jenova's combat trigger and a dense package of doublers and enablers), turns them into Mutants, then sacrifices them on your turn for massive card draw and life while recycling the bodies through recursion. Primary wins come from overwhelming combat with enormous Mutants and drain effects like Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord; secondary pressure includes rad-counter attrition and token swarms. Jenova is a key engine-she both distributes counters and converts Mutant deaths into card advantage-but the 99 still functions through alternate counter distributors, sac outlets, and recursion. The deck plays as a midrange value engine that snowballs once the first large creature is sacrificed and reanimated.
