Format: Commander

Commander: The Ever-Changing 'Dane

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Esper deck is a shapeshifter reanimator build that fills its graveyard, reanimates high-impact creatures, and converts death and enters-the-battlefield triggers into life-total swings. The Ever-Changing 'Dane acts as a flexible sacrifice outlet and copy effect, letting you sacrifice Kokusho or Gray Merchant and become a copy of them. Ratadrabik of Urborg acts as a hidden commander, turning legendary deaths into token copies. The primary finish is an infinite drain loop with Ashnod's Altar, Mikaeus the Unhallowed, and Luminous Broodmoth or Cauldron of Souls, with Gray Merchant as the payoff. Buried Alive and Living Death provide tutoring and mass reanimation, while Rona, Tolarian Obliterator offers a secondary value engine.
