Deck overview

This Temur Commander deck pairs The Twelfth Doctor with Clara Oswald (designating green) to capitalize on the paradox mechanic and spell copying. The strategy revolves around ramping in the opening turns, deploying the Doctor, and casting spells from exile or the graveyard via escape, cascade, and rebound. When the Doctor demonstrates these spells, it creates token copies, doubles trigger value, and steadily accumulates +1/+1 counters. Combat amplifiers such as Gratuitous Violence, Unnatural Growth, and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar turn these copied threats into lethal damage against all three opponents. While the deck boasts strong synergy and explosive turns once its engine is operational, its reliance on commander survival and combat steps makes it susceptible to sweepers and efficient interaction.
