Deck overview

This is a mono-black aristocrats/drain combo deck helmed by Ayara, First of Locthwain, built to flood the board with black creature tokens and convert every ETB and death into life drain. The primary plan is assembling one of the deck's many infinite loops - Gravecrawler + a free sac outlet, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed undying loops, Exquisite Blood + a life-gain drainer, or Necrotic Ooze - and closing through Ayara, First of Locthwain, Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Marauding Blight-Priest. What elevates the deck is its density: roughly fifteen fast-mana sources (Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, Mox Opal, Lotus Petal, Dark Ritual, Cabal Ritual, Culling the Weak, Lake of the Dead, K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth) and a thirteen-plus-card tutor suite make it a high-consistency, cEDH-adjacent combo deck that wins through infinite life drain rather than combat.
