Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo Boros Voltron strategy led by Lightning, Army of One. Lightning combines first strike, trample, and lifelink with her signature Stagger ability, which doubles all damage dealt to a player after she connects with combat damage. By pairing Lightning with double strike equipment such as Fireshrieker, Lizard Blades, or Genji Glove, her first-strike damage immediately triggers Stagger, causing her regular combat damage to deal double damage in the very same combat. A suite of efficient equipment tutors quickly fetches stat pumps like Colossus Hammer or Wrecking Ball Arm alongside protective gear like Lightning Greaves and Conqueror's Flail. Extra combat spells such as Great Train Heist, Overpowering Attack, and Aurelia, the Warleader accelerate eliminations across multiple opponents. While the deck relies heavily on combat and lacks hard countermagic or stax pieces, its explosive damage scaling and resilient shielding package allow it to pressure and eliminate the table rapidly.
