Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius spellslinger and token tempo strategy helmed by Kykar, Zephyr Awakener. The deck's central goal is to deploy Kykar early, follow up with low-cost noncreature spells to generate a swarm of 1/1 flying Spirit tokens, and alternate between flickering enter-the-battlefield creatures and building a wide aerial army. Support creatures like Empyrean Eagle and Deekah, Fractal Theorist convert noncreature velocity into substantial combat pressure. The deck's mana base operates primarily on curve with minimal fast mana, relying on steady land drops and incremental value engines like Arni, Humble Scribe and Think Twice. Interaction is well-rounded with counterspells like No More Lies, defensive bounce like Aetherize, and targeted exile enchantments. While resilient to targeted removal thanks to Fae Flight and Crystal Barricade, the deck closes games via fair flying combat over multiple turns and is vulnerable to repeated sweepers.
