Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Mardu Vampire tribal and aristocrats deck commanded by Edgar Markov. The strategy leverages Edgar's Eminence ability to generate a 1/1 Vampire token whenever a Vampire spell is cast, creating a wide board without casting the commander. Early turns focus on deploying efficient low-cost Vampires such as Indulgent Aristocrat, Cordial Vampire, and Charismatic Conqueror to rapidly build creature volume. By Turn 4, the deck layers powerful anthem effects, +1/+1 counter engines, and combat multipliers like Shared Animosity, Stromkirk Captain, and Coat of Arms alongside life drain from Sanctum Seeker and Cruel Celebrant. Critical onset arrives on Turn 5 with overwhelming combat swings capable of eliminating opponents sequentially by Turn 7. If combat stalls, the deck can pivot to an infinite life-drain combo using Exquisite Blood and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, while Teferi's Protection guards against sweepers.
