Deck overview

This mono-green deck is centered around Ghalta, Primal Hunger, executing a dedicated stompy game plan that converts efficient, high-power creatures into massive mana discounts. By curving early mana dorks into aggressively statted 3-mana creatures such as Pugnacious Hammerskull and Steel Leaf Champion, the deck reliably casts Ghalta as a 12/12 trampler for just {G}{G} as early as Turn 4. The deck refuels through power-based card draw engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise, maintaining hand size while continually deploying massive threats. While the list excels at rapid stat accumulation and high combat pressure, it is inherently vulnerable to creature sweepers and spot removal due to a multi-turn combat clock. Standalone beaters like Elder Gargaroth and Carnage Tyrant provide strong redundancy, ensuring the deck remains a lethal combat presence even if Ghalta is removed.
