Deck overview

This deck is a mono-white Soldier tribal strategy commanded by Myrel, Shield of Argive. The game plan centers on curving out with efficient low-mana Soldiers and cost reducers during the opening turns, deploying Myrel on Turn 4, and attacking on Turn 5. Myrel provides built-in Grand Abolisher protection on your turn, preventing opponents from casting spells or activating abilities while you attack and cast spells. Each attack doubles your Soldier presence with 1/1 tokens, which quickly scale out of control alongside static anthem effects like Rally the Ranks, Greymond, Avacyn's Stalwart, and Serra Redeemer. While the deck features efficient spot removal and instant-speed protection against board wipes, its low land count of 30 lands and lack of artifact tutoring make hitting land drops and drawing specific draw engines like Skullclamp critical to maintaining mid-game momentum across multiple combat rotations.
