Mono black but fun! by user8282213

Format: Commander

Commander: Yawgmoth, Thran Physician

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck uses Yawgmoth, Thran Physician as a sacrifice engine to grind value and assemble drain loops. Yawgmoth draws cards and places -1/-1 counters, which pairs with Nest of Scarabs to create Insects and with undying from Mikaeus, the Unhallowed to loop creatures. The primary win is infinite or near-infinite death triggers from Blood Artist, Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vein Ripper, or Gray Merchant of Asphodel. A secondary treasure loop uses Ashnod's Altar, Pitiless Plunderer, and Gravecrawler. Ayara acts as a hidden commander, providing the core drain payoff the deck tutors for.
