Deck overview

This Sultai deck is helmed by Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer and focuses on maximizing value from face-down permanents through morph, disguise, cloak, and manifest dread mechanics. The deck accelerates into Turn 4 Kadena to cast one face-down creature for free each turn while drawing a card for every face-down permanent that enters the battlefield. Supporting engines like Threats Around Every Corner, Trail of Mystery, and Paranormal Analyst rapidly thin basic lands from the library and generate substantial card advantage. The deck controls the board with versatile face-down interaction including Kheru Spellsnatcher, Nantuko Vigilante, and Thousand Winds. It closes the game by assembling the classic Pickles lock with Brine Elemental and Vesuvan Shapeshifter to permanently deny opponents untap steps, or by overwhelming the table through large manifest waves from Valgavoth's Onslaught and poison damage supported by Fynn, the Fangbearer.
