Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Shay Cormac as both a removal enabler and a scaling Voltron finisher. By paying {1}, Shay strips hexproof, indestructible, shroud, ward, and protection from all opposing permanents, guaranteeing that spot removal spells like Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile, and Anguished Unmaking never fail to hit their marks. Whenever an opposing creature is targeted, it receives a bounty counter; when it subsequently dies, Shay grows by two +1/+1 counters. The deck complements this engine with death-trigger doublers like Drivnod, Carnage Dominus and Teysa Karlov, alternate beatsticks like Vincent Valentine // Galian Beast, and passive card advantage engines like Trouble in Pairs and Morbid Opportunist. Defensive spells such as Teferi's Protection and Flawless Maneuver keep Shay safe while he eliminates opponents one by one through unblockable or trample combat damage.
