Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Grixis Spellslinger Voltron deck commanded by Fire Lord Azula. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating Azula onto the battlefield by Turn 3 or 4, attacking to generate {R}{R} firebending mana, and casting instant-speed pump or burn spells during combat to duplicate them. By pairing Azula's spell-copying trigger with power doublers like Unleash Fury and evasion/double strike enablers like Temur Battle Rage, the deck can eliminate an opponent with lethal commander damage in a single combat step starting on Turn 5. A robust secondary burn and magecraft package featuring Guttersnipe, Archmage Emeritus, and Storm-Kiln Artist converts spell-slinging into substantial card flow, mana generation, and chip damage. While the deck possesses explosive one-shot potential and efficient stack interaction, it relies heavily on Azula surviving combat steps and lacks dedicated tutors to assemble its lethal packages consistently.
