Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul aggressive lands archetype piloted by Bumi, Unleashed. The strategy centers on the Earthbend mechanic, turning lands into resilient 0/0 creatures with haste, +1/+1 counters, and built-in death recursion. Supported by a robust 40-land base and consistent early ramp, the deck rapidly casts Bumi on turn 4. Once in play, Bumi attacks on turn 5 to deal trample damage, untap all lands, and grant an additional combat phase exclusively for land creatures. Value multipliers like Branching Evolution, Moraug, Fury of Akoum, and Sylvan Awakening compound this damage, allowing the deck to overwhelm opponents across consecutive combat steps. A focused suite of low-cost protection spells shields key threats during combat, while backup animators ensure steady aggression even if the commander is removed.
