Commander: Blech, Loafing Pest

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Golgari life-gain deck helmed by Blech, Loafing Pest is a tribal +1/+1 counter strategy focused on Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. The plan is to repeatedly gain life through attacks, ETBs, and spells, which triggers the commander to pump the entire tribe. Secondary win conditions include drain effects from Dina, Soul Steeper and Mirkwood Bats, as well as large trampling creatures. The deck has a low curve (2.39 without lands) and a solid recursion package, but lacks explosive speed or stack interaction, making it a grindy value engine that wins through combat attrition.
