Deck overview

This deck is a Selesnya combat engine built around reach creatures and toughness-based combat damage. Led by Tadeas, Juniper Ascendant, the deck uses low-power, high-toughness reach creatures to bypass blockers with greater power while keeping defenders untapped for protection. Once a toughness-damage assigner such as Assault Formation, Huatli, the Sun's Heart, or Rasaad yn Bashir is active, the deck converts high toughness into massive combat damage. Tadeas rewards successful attacks with card draw, keeping the hand full of protection spells and pump effects like Tower Defense. The deck runs asymmetric tools such as Dusk // Dawn and Noetic Scales to clear away opposing threats while leaving its low-power board intact.
