Deck overview

Gev, Scaled Scorch commands a high-speed Rakdos combo deck built around persist loops and sacrifice outlets. Gev's static ability provides a +1/+1 counter to entering creatures whenever an opponent has lost life in the current turn. This counter completely cancels the -1/-1 counter from the persist mechanic on creatures like Putrid Goblin, Lesser Masticore, and Murderous Redcap, enabling infinite sacrifice loops with outlets such as Goblin Bombardment, Altar of Dementia, and Blasting Station. Supported by top-tier fast mana, twelve efficient tutors, and secondary win conditions like Underworld Breach and Ad Nauseam, the deck consistently threatens a same-turn table elimination on turn 3. Its interactive suite combines free removal with premier flash hatebears like Opposition Agent and Orcish Bowmasters to disrupt faster opponents while protecting its own compressed combo turns.
