Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Equipment Voltron and burn deck led by Captain America, First Avenger. The primary game plan revolves around casting Captain America early and using his Catch ability to cheat high equip costs on devastating artifacts like Colossus Hammer, Excalibur, Sword of Eden, and Kaldra Compleat. Once suited up, Captain America applies heavy commander damage in combat and uses his Throw ability to deal large bursts of direct damage to opposing players or creatures. The deck features a robust equipment tutoring suite, equip-cost reducers such as Puresteel Paladin and Forge Anew, and a formidable Sunforger package. This toolbox provides instant-speed access to versatile interaction and board-wide protection spells like Teferi's Protection and Boros Charm. The strategy closes games through rapid single-target eliminations and repeatable noncombat damage, backed by efficient card advantage engines that trigger whenever Equipment is cast or connected.
