Deck overview

This deck is an Esper reanimator and stax engine helmed by Hashaton, Scarab's Fist. Hashaton converts creature cards discarded from hand into 4/4 black Zombie token copies for {2}{U}. The deck uses efficient discard enablers such as Putrid Imp, Tireless Tribe, and Psychic Frog alongside top-tier tutors to rapidly discard and duplicate overwhelming threats like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Razaketh, the Foulblooded, Consecrated Sphinx, and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite. While advancing its reanimation engine, the deck deploys potent asymmetric stax pieces including Drannith Magistrate, Opposition Agent, and Notion Thief to paralyze opposing strategies. A premier suite of free and efficient counterspells and silence effects shields the setup from interruption. Once a dominant board of massive creatures is established by Turn 4, the deck closes out the game through overwhelming combat damage across two attack cycles by Turn 6.
