Deck overview

This Sultai deck leverages the mutate mechanic to turn cheap, elusive creatures into resilient offensive powerhouses. By using non-Human hosts with built-in hexproof or indestructible keywords, the deck protects its investment against single-target removal. Otrimi, the Ever-Playful sits in the command zone as both an efficient 6/6 trample mutate threat and a continuous recursion engine for spent mutate cards. As additional creatures mutate onto the stack, triggered abilities from Auspicious Starrix, Sawtusk Demolisher, and Gemrazer trigger simultaneously to strip opposing boards and flood the battlefield with permanents. High-tier interaction like Fierce Guardianship, Cyclonic Rift, and Deadly Rollick ensures the mutate stack survives disruption while dismantling opponent strategies. The deck closes games swiftly through lethal commander damage, infect pressure from Glistener Elf, or wide combat swarms generated by mutating multiple times.
