landfall/sacrifice by user7429544

Format: Commander

Commander: Hearthhull, the Worldseed

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Jund land-sacrifice/recursion engine helmed by Hearthhull, the Worldseed, a Spacecraft that trades land sacrifice for card draw, extra land drops, and eventually a life-drain win condition via its threshold ability. The primary strategy is to ramp aggressively, repeatedly sacrifice lands to draw cards and trigger landfall payoffs, then recur them en masse with cards like Splendid Reclamation and Aftermath Analyst. The deck generates threats through token makers (Omnath, Locus of Rage), anthem effects (Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest), and extra combat steps (Moraug, Fury of Akoum). The commander's station ability can also turn it into a 6/7 flyer with haste and a global drain, but that requires eight charge counters and is a secondary win condition. The deck is a classic value midrange pile-it wins through overwhelming board presence, grinding, and incremental damage rather than a compact combo.
