Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir reanimator strategy that uses self-mill and looting to cheat large, game-warping creatures onto the battlefield ahead of curve. In the early turns, cheap ramp, mill creatures, and commander Emet-Selch, Unsundered fill the graveyard while sculpting the hand. By Turn 4 or 5, efficient reanimation spells like Reanimate, Persist, and Living Death bring massive threats such as Massacre Wurm, Sepulchral Primordial, and Stormtide Leviathan directly into play. As the graveyard expands past fourteen cards, Emet-Selch transforms into Hades, Sorcerer of Eld, turning the entire graveyard into an extended hand. The deck protects its plays with cheap countermagic and phased-out effects, wears down opposing life totals with Syr Konrad, the Grim triggers, and finishes the table across two dominant combat steps by Turn 7.
