Deck overview

This deck is a quintessential Grixis Group Slug and Wheels strategy piloted by Nekusar, the Mindrazer. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating mana in the opening turns, deploying Nekusar on Turn 4 or 5, and immediately capitalizing on symmetrical draw triggers and massive wheel effects like Windfall, Wheel and Deal, and Teferi's Puzzle Box. As opponents are forced to draw cards, Nekusar and supporting punishers like Spiteful Visions, Psychosis Crawler, and Ob Nixilis, the Hate-Twisted turn card advantage into rapid, table-wide life loss. Damage amplifiers such as Torbran, Thane of Red Fell and Dictate of the Twin Gods dramatically accelerate the clock, allowing the deck to close games around Turn 7. While the strategy generates immense damage output, it inherently hands opponents fresh 7-card hands, requiring precise timing and defensive measures like Propaganda to survive counter-attacks.
