Format: Commander

Commander: Trostani, Selesnya's Voice

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Trostani, Selesnya's Voice leads a green-white token-populate deck that turns lifegain into a runaway board. The plan is to ramp early with Birds of Paradise, Llanowar Elves, Avacyn's Pilgrim, and land-tutors, then resolve one or more token multipliers - Anointed Procession, Parallel Lives, Doubling Season, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, Exalted Sunborn, or Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation - before using Trostani's populate activation and free populate effects from Growing Ranks, Nesting Dovehawk, and Wayfaring Temple. Wins generally come from a wide-board Craterhoof Behemoth or Finale of Devastation overrun; Felidar Sovereign is a lifegain alternate, and Storm Herd turns a high life total into a flying army. The commander is a value engine rather than a required combo piece: Rhys the Redeemed and Trostani Discordant can carry the plan if she is answered. This is a sturdy midrange token deck with almost no stack interaction.
