Deck overview

This five-color spellslinger deck leverages Codie, Ravenous Codex to copy spells cast by prepared creatures. Prepare creatures enter ready to cast an attached instant or sorcery copy. Codie automatically doubles these spells, generating explosive mana and card advantage from cards like Seething Song and Ancestral Recall. The deck accelerates in early turns with low-cost ramp and fixing, landing Codie by Turn 3. On Turn 4, it establishes an operational board with prepare creatures and Magecraft engines like Storm-Kiln Artist and Archmage Emeritus. By Turn 5, the deck launches a storm turn: Codie's five-color activation repeatedly re-prepares creatures while doubled untap spells and rituals produce infinite mana and card draw. The sequence finishes by draining all three opponents simultaneously with a massive Exsanguinate. Supported by cheap countermagic and recursion, the deck delivers an explosive same-turn kill.
