Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck is piloted by Braids, Arisen Nightmare, leveraging sacrificial fodder to generate asymmetric card advantage, life drain, and board attrition. Early turns establish cheap, expendable permanents like Bitterblossom, Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, and Ichor Wellspring, enabling Braids to draw multiple cards each turn cycle while taxing opponents' life and permanents. The deck transitions into the mid-game by asserting creature control with asymmetric attrition engines such as Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos. Big-mana enablers like Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast fuel explosive turns into tutors and payoffs. The primary victory condition is a compact infinite drain combo utilizing Gravecrawler, a repeatable sacrifice outlet like Warren Soultrader or Phyrexian Altar, and a death-trigger drainer like Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat. With strong recursion and redundant card-draw engines, the deck maintains continuous pressure through standard removal.
