Deck overview

This mono-black deck is an exhibition typal build dedicated to Shades, commanded by Ihsan's Shade. The primary game plan develops mana rocks and cost reducers in the early turns, establishes several Shade creatures, and uses accumulated black mana to pump their power and toughness during combat. High-cost board wipes like Damnation, Kindred Dominance, and Decree of Pain keep opposing creature boards clear while the deck leverages mana multipliers like Nirkana Revenant to push lethal damage. Because the list lacks infinite combos, fast mana bursts, and generic tutors, it plays as a deliberate midrange combat deck that grinds down opponents over multiple attack phases.
