Deck overview

This mono-black deck is commanded by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse and focuses on turning card draw into a deadly liability for opponents while converting it into life for its pilot. The strategy deploys Sheoldred on Turn 4 and pairs her with symmetric or forced draw engines like Teferi's Puzzle Box, Dark Deal, and Font of Mythos to rapidly shred opposing life totals. A robust secondary drain suite featuring Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Bloodthirsty Conqueror, and Exquisite Blood provides infinite combo redundancy, while Opposition Agent and Orcish Bowmasters punish conventional game actions. Supported by big mana generators such as Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast, the deck transitions seamlessly from midgame attrition into overwhelming finishers like Torment of Hailfire and Peer into the Abyss, sealing the table around Turn 7.
