Storm Lord Azula by mrman1257

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula is a spell-doubler that turns a Grixis spellslinger shell into a ping-storm deck. The primary plan is to establish 2-3 pingers such as Vivi Ornitier, Firebrand Archer, Guttersnipe and Coruscation Mage, then attack with Azula to generate {R}{R} and copy every instant or sorcery cast during combat for double triggers and double storm count. Secondary paths win without combat via Thousand-Year Storm, Twinning Staff and Krark, the Thumbless chaining cantrips into a lethal Grapeshot or a copied Crackle with Power, with Vivi and Electro acting as hidden commanders that provide mana and reach. Azula is the accelerator, not the sole engine, and the deck can grind with Rhystic Study and Archmage Emeritus when she is held up.
