Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Goblins' Bane // Flameshape

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-red Gandalf deck is a noncreature-spell burn engine. The commander's adventure (Flameshape) provides card advantage while Gandalf's trigger and a supporting cast of Kessig Flamebreather, Longshot, Rebel Bowman, and Artist's Talent turn every instant, sorcery, and planeswalker into chip damage. The secondary plan is play-from-exile value: Chandra, Pyromaster, Professional Face-Breaker, and Charred Foyer // Warped Space keep the hand full and enable free spells. Lategame, Improvisation Capstone or Chandra's Incinerator turns accumulated triggers into a lethal burst. It is an interactive, attrition-based deck that struggles when an enchantment stax piece locks the spell chain.
