Format: Commander

Commander: Kodama of the West Tree

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kodama of the West Tree leads a mono-green modified/counters deck that turns +1/+1 counters into trample damage and land ramp. The primary plan is to modify creatures with counters, Auras, or Equipment, give them trample via Kodama, and gain extra lands on combat damage while scaling with counter doublers. Secondary paths are landfall token swarms and a five-card landfall loop. Kodama is an engine and ramp piece, not a combo piece; the hidden commanders are the counter doublers Bristly Bill, Spine Sower and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider plus Railway Brawler, which actually set the clock. The deck wins through sequential combat, not fast combo, and needs board presence to close.
