Deck overview

This is an Edgar Markov Mardu Vampire tribal deck built around the commander's Eminence ability, which creates a 1/1 Vampire token with every Vampire spell cast while he sits in the command zone or on the battlefield. The deck goes wide almost for free, and Edgar's own haste, first strike, and attack-trigger pump turn the token army into an immediate clock the turn he finally enters play. It finishes through three interlocking channels: a lorded wide combat strike accelerated by All-Out Assault's extra combat; an aristocrat drain package in Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Vengeful Bloodwitch that profits from sacrifice outlets and Skullclamp; and the Sanguine Bond/Exquisite Blood infinite loop with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose as a redundant half. A single tutor, mass reanimation in Bloodline Bidding, and repeatable value from Twilight Prophet round out a threat-dense mid-power list that pressures from turn four onward.
