Deck overview

This mono-blue spellslinger midrange deck centers on Victor Timely, Wily Tycoon, using efficient self-mill and looting to turn the graveyard into an accessible spell toolbox. Early turns focus on deploying 2-CMC mana rocks and filtering cards with Careful Study, Chart a Course, and Frantic Search to stock the graveyard with high-utility instants and sorceries. Once Victor enters on Turn 4, its trigger casts a free spell from the graveyard, immediately kicking off a cascade of blink effects like Ghostly Flicker, Displace, and Blur. Trigger doublers such as Panharmonicon, Starfield Vocalist, and Roaming Throne amplify this loop, while Peregrine Drake untaps lands to generate immense mana velocity. The deck closes games reliably by resolving Candlekeep Inspiration to pump its board with the extensive volume of exiled and binned spells, or by weaponizing storm velocity through Aetherflux Reservoir. Strong redundancy in blink effects provides resilience, though persistent graveyard hate poses a significant obstacle.
