Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-blue flash control and spellslinger strategy commanded by Katara, Waterbending Master. The game plan revolves around playing almost entirely at instant speed during opponents' turns. By casting cheap interaction, countermagic, and bounce spells on each player's turn, the pilot steadily accumulates experience counters. Once Katara attacks, her ability draws cards equal to your experience counters, creating an explosive hand-sculpting engine. The deck converts this massive card velocity into a win through spell-triggered token creators like Talrand, Sky Summoner and Alandra, Sky Dreamer, lethal commander damage with Glamdring and Runechanter's Pike, table-wide life drain via Psychosis Crawler, or a one-sided blowout with an overloaded Cyclonic Rift. Backed by free counterspells and phasing protection, the deck excels at disrupting opponents while building insurmountable tempo.
