Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages Gwenom, Remorseless to turn life totals into explosive mana velocity. By attacking with Gwenom, you cast spells directly from the top of your library by paying life equal to their mana values instead of mana. Gwenom's inherent lifelink offsets these costs, creating a high-velocity engine that digs deep into the 99. The deck converts this storm-like velocity into victory through aristocrat drain effects, massive life swings, and compact infinite combos like Exquisite Blood paired with Sanguine Bond or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. Highly efficient interaction such as Deadly Rollick and Snuff Out defends your board while keeping mana open. Incidental resource denial from The Darkness Crystal and Ob Nixilis, Unshackled slows down opposing strategies, giving you the window needed to assemble an overwhelming life advantage and eliminate the entire table in a single decisive turn.
