Deck overview

Obeka, Brute Chronologist turns temporary creatures, reanimation effects, and extra-turn spells into lasting resources by ending the current turn before delayed sacrifice or loss triggers resolve. The main line uses Sneak Attack to deploy a large creature such as Archon of Cruelty, attack, and then use Obeka, Brute Chronologist to keep the creature. Other engines, including Whip of Erebos, Dawn of the Dead, Feldon of the Third Path, Rionya, Fire Dancer, and Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded, provide overlapping ways to generate temporary threats and enter-the-battlefield value. The deck has meaningful ramp, card selection, and some countermagic, but its core setup is expensive and requires several specific roles. It creates strong late-game pressure rather than a reliable early combo or deterministic table kill. Its best games build a protected board of large creatures and repeated triggers; its weakest games draw expensive payoffs without Obeka, Brute Chronologist or sufficient colored mana.
