Squirrel by crankstanker

Commander: Chatterfang, Squirrel General

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Squirrel-token combo deck helmed by Chatterfang, Squirrel General, who transforms every token you create - Food, Treasure, Clue, or otherwise - into additional 1/1 Squirrels, all while doubling as an instant-speed, X-cost removal outlet. The primary plan is to land Chatterfang early behind a compact ramp suite, flood the board with token generation, then convert that mass into one of several infinite Squirrel/Treasure loops - most efficiently Warren Soultrader or Ashnod's Altar plus Pitiless Plunderer - finishing with a drain outlet like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Mirkwood Bats. When the combo is disrupted, the deck falls back on a go-wide combat plan powered by Beastmaster Ascension, Squirrel Mob, and The Odd Acorn Gang. It is a midrange combo-token hybrid with a low 2.70 average mana value and an unusually high number of interchangeable value pieces.
