Deck overview

This deck is an Atraxa, Praetors' Voice midrange build centered on the toxic, infect, and proliferate mechanics. The primary strategy infects all three opponents early using low-cost creatures like Bilious Skulldweller and Blighted Agent or spells like Prologue to Phyresis and Ichor Rats. Once every opponent carries at least one poison counter, the deck deploys Atraxa, Praetors' Voice alongside secondary engines like Evolution Sage, Bloated Contaminator, and Inexorable Tide to tick those counters upward every turn cycle. The Corrupted mechanic rewards this progress with extra card advantage from Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa and mana acceleration from Glistening Sphere. Opponents are forced into a defensive posture as their poison totals approach lethal thresholds. Targeted removal spells such as Swords to Plowshares and Anguished Unmaking manage key opposing threats, while Propaganda and Phyrexian Censor slow down counterattacks. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through accumulated proliferate triggers and unblockable combat pressure.
