Deck overview

This Mardu deck combines high-impact reanimation with flicker and token-copy engines. Led by Celes, Rune Knight, the deck uses its commander as an accessible hand-sculpting engine and discard outlet that buffs the board whenever creatures return from the graveyard. Early turns focus on mana ramp and landcycling to put high-cost threats like Valgavoth, Terror Eater, Ashen Rider, and Baleful Force into the graveyard. By Turn 5, low-cost reanimation spells bring these titans onto the battlefield ahead of curve. Flicker spells like Ephemerate and token copiers like The Jolly Balloon Man and Rionya, Fire Dancer multiply enter-the-battlefield triggers, dismantling opposing boards while generating overwhelming card advantage. The deck sustains immense resilience through redundant graveyard recursion, recovering swiftly from board wipes to close the game with massive evasive combat damage.
