Deck overview

This deck is a classic Simic Big Mana strategy centered on Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle. In the early turns, the deck focuses on efficient land ramp to cast Arixmethes on Turn 3. Untapping with Arixmethes provides access to massive mana on Turn 4, accelerating out iconic sea monsters like Koma, Cosmos Serpent, Hullbreaker Horror, Spawning Kraken, and Stormtide Leviathan. Card draw engines such as Up the Beanstalk, Garruk's Uprising, and Elemental Bond keep the hand full whenever these massive creatures enter the battlefield. The deck breaks parity through asymmetric board wipes like Whelming Wave and Summon: Leviathan, which clear opposing blockers while leaving your sea monsters untouched. Evasion enablers like Archetype of Imagination, Serpent of Yawning Depths, and Thassa, God of the Sea ensure your lethal damage connects cleanly to close out the game around Turn 7.
