Deck overview

This deck is an Esper spellslinger and life-drain control strategy commanded by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. Rather than relying on low-CMC cantrips or storm loops, the deck is built around noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater. Each qualifying spell triggers Y'shtola to deal 2 damage to each opponent and gain 2 life, while her end-step trigger draws extra cards whenever a player loses 4 or more life in a turn. The deck supports this attrition plan with token generators like Hermes, Overseer of Elpis, cost reducers such as Lyse Hext and Alisaie Leveilleur, and defensive stax like Propaganda and Authority of the Consuls.
