Zurgo Crat by LJ.FourFoldMaster

Format: Commander

Commander: Zurgo Stormrender

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Zurgo Stormrender leads a Mardu token deck that uses Mobilize to create free attacking tokens and convert each profitable attack into raw card draw. The secondary plan is drain/ETB damage from Purphoros, Impact Tremors, Warleader's Call, and Mirkwood Bats, while Elspeth, Anointed Procession, and Mondrak multiply every token. Isshin is the hidden commander, doubling Zurgo and attack-trigger token producers. Wins come from a giant token wave, usually finished by Akroma's Will or Moonshaker Cavalry, or from repeated Purphoros triggers. The commander is an engine rather than a strict combo piece, and the deck can rebuild through removal with multiple token sources and protection spells.
