Deck overview

Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker commands a mono-black attrition deck designed to grind down multiplayer tables through repetitive hand disruption and incremental life drain. The primary game plan revolves around casting low-power creatures with discard and card advantage abilities, such as Burglar Rat, Virus Beetle, and Dusk Legion Zealot. Once Shirei enters the battlefield, sacrificing these creatures allows them to return every end step, systematically depleting opponents of resources. The deck secures victory through continuous life loss from cards like Raven of Fell Omens and Sanguine Syphoner, swarming the board with Revenge of the Rats, or buffing Devouring Swarm into an evasive aerial clock.
