Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm is a Treasure-ramp/drain deck built to turn artifact tokens into both mana and cards. The primary plan is to flood the board with Treasures through Smaug's enter trigger, Descent into Avernus, Goldspan Dragon, Magda, and Black Market Connections, then use Smaug's cast trigger to turn Treasure-fuelled spells into extra draws. The secondary paths are hasty dragon combat and Knuckles the Echidna's 30-artifact upkeep win. The deck has no compact infinite loop; it closes by multiplying tokens with Academy Manufactor and Xorn and pointing drain triggers from Reckless Fireweaver, Mirkwood Bats, and Mayhem Devil at every opponent.
