Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is helmed by Amalia Benavides Aguirre with Lurrus of the Dream-Den as a companion, imposing a strict 2-mana-or-less restriction on all permanents. The game plan centers on assembling low-cost 'Soul Sister' lifegain triggers—such as Soul Warden, Ajani's Welcome, and Guide of Souls—which repeatedly trigger Amalia to explore whenever any creature enters. This engine filters through the library, drawing lands and dumping low-mana creatures into the graveyard. The deck builds toward casting mass reanimation spells like Raise the Past, Return to the Ranks, or Command the Dreadhorde. Returning 6 to 10 creatures simultaneously produces dozens of lifegain triggers, draining the table via Starscape Cleric, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, and Vizkopa Guildmage while Amalia reaches 20 power to wipe the board. Fast, resilient, and highly synergistic, the deck operates with extreme redundancy and companion-fueled recursion.
