Bard by tamisen

Format: Commander

Commander: Bard, King of Dale

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Bard, King of Dale turns one extra draw into two and doubles every token, so the deck is built around converting extra draws into milling and, as a fallback, going wide. The primary plan is to resolve a draw-mill engine-Psychic Corrosion or Sphinx's Tutelage-and then use Bard plus Alhammarret's Archive or The Water Crystal to turn cheap cantrips and opponent-draw triggers into large draw bursts. Bruvac the Grandiloquent plus kicked Maddening Cacophony is a compact commander-independent finish, while Laboratory Maniac covers a rare self-mill-out. Alhammarret's Archive and Roaming Throne act as hidden commanders that copy Bard's doubling role. A secondary token plan with Prince Imrahil, Thopter Fabricator, Cosmogrand Zenith, and The Queen of Dale can win through combat if the mill route is answered.
