Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie Tribal Aristocrats strategy commanded by The Ghoul, Gunslinger. The primary game plan revolves around assembling a critical mass of resilient Zombies, sacrificing them for value, and triggering life drain across the table. The Ghoul turns dying nontoken Zombies into rad counters and Treasure tokens when targeting yourself, accelerating your mana and filling your graveyard. Supported by lords like Death Baron and Undead Warchief, along with aristocrat payoffs such as Ayara, First of Locthwain and Vengeful Dead, the deck exerts steady combat pressure before closing out games with a massive Gray Merchant of Asphodel or Exsanguinate. While the deck features robust graveyard recursion through Phyrexian Reclamation and Victimize, it lacks dedicated stack protection and artifact removal, making it vulnerable to combo decks and heavy graveyard exile effects.
