Commander: The Reaper, King No More

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This Jund combo deck helmed by The Reaper, King No More leverages -1/-1 counter synergies and a dense tutor suite to assemble one of several infinite combos. The commander provides incidental value by stealing opponents' creatures, but the deck's real power lies in the 99: Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Walking Ballista + a sacrifice outlet, Devoted Druid + Mikaeus for infinite green mana, and Underworld Breach + Lotus Petal + Manamorphose to draw the deck and win. With an average mana value of 2.10, fast mana like Sol Ring, Mana Vault, and ritual effects, the deck can consistently threaten a win by turn 4. The commander's theft ability is a bonus, not a necessity, making the deck resilient to commander removal.
