Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger and big-mana token storm list centered around Ovika, Enigma Goliath. The primary strategy accelerates through early turns using a dense suite of 2-drop and 3-drop mana artifacts, aiming to deploy Ovika on Turn 5. Once Ovika is on the battlefield, the deck exploits high-mana-value spells with cost-reducing mechanics—such as Convoke, Affinity, and Delve—to cast expensive spells cheaply while triggering Ovika for their full printed mana value. This generates a massive swarm of 1/1 Phyrexian Goblin tokens with innate haste. Massive card-draw spells scale off the goblin army, digging into decisive finishers like Shared Animosity, Tears of Rage, Surge to Victory, or Molten Gatekeeper to eliminate all three opponents in a single explosive combat turn. The deck features strong ward-based protection on its commander and resilient recovery mana, though it remains heavily reliant on resolving its 7-mana centerpiece.
