Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Orzhov Aristocrats strategy built around 24 copies of Shadowborn Apostle and Athreos, God of Passage. The primary game plan curves out multiple Apostles in the early turns, using their activated ability on turn 5 to cheat Razaketh, the Foulblooded directly onto the battlefield. Athreos taxes opponents 3 life per dying Apostle or returns them to hand, creating card advantage or severe life loss. Once Razaketh resolves, it tutors mass reanimation spells like Immortal Servitude or Angel of Glory's Rise alongside drain engines such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bontu's Monument. Alternate lines leverage Thrumming Stone to ripple through the entire library of Apostles or Edgewalker to cast them for free. While the deck possesses minimal stack protection and requires a critical mass of 1/1 creatures on board, its dense tutoring and resilient graveyard recursion make it a consistent clock.
